About me
Hi, I’m Vi Tran — a Vietnamese graphic designer and public relations enthusiast with a deep love for digital art, storytelling, and all things creative. My design journey began in an unexpected place: watching quirky international commercials on YouTube as a kid, where I became fascinated by the power of visual communication. I originally studied Business Administration at Vietnamese-German University, but soon realized my true passion lay in design and media. This led me to Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, where I’m currently pursuing a BA in Graphic Design with a minor in Public Relations.
Outside the classroom, my creativity thrives in my hobbies — from cosplay to art toy collecting. I often use my design skills to craft custom props, edit photos, and build miniature backdrops for my toy displays. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I began sharing crafting and lifestyle videos online, which unexpectedly went viral. My content resonated with over 100k followers, with my most-viewed video reaching over 3 million views.
Currently, I work as a student designer for TAMU-CC’s Marketing and Communication (MARCOM) office, where I create branded design templates that align with the university’s identity. Due to Texas state regulations, I’ve paused my social media presence while working here, but I continue to grow as a designer, blending my creative passions with professional experience every step of the way.
